Trail Ridge Road Solitude
Rocky Mountain National Park is simply stunning. Magnificent views hover over you in 360 degrees of head-turning wonder. You’ll find breathtaking scenery all over the park, but the peak experience for sightseeing is Trail Ridge Road. It’s the highest major highway in the United States at 12,183 feet. (Actually, “highway” isn’t a very good description since speeds are about 20 mph or less.) Trail Ridge is a two-lane, double-takin’ trip to the jagged edge of Heaven, … Read entire article »

So if you do like hiking or just strolling, this is one of the best ways to nestle up close to Yellowstone. With 1,000 miles of trails in the park, it isn’t hard to find some … Read entire article »
Transformational Earth Film
I can’t even express the intense emotions I felt watching this short film (embedded below) that captures the absolute wonder that is earth. If everyone saw this film, would they get it? Or, will egregious profits and selfish interests continue to bulldoze this irreplaceable Creation? We are already wealthy beyond belief by being part of this earth. No dollar could … Read entire article »
Turquoise (Over the) Ledge
I’ve been wanting to read a book by Leslie Marmon Silko, a prominent Native American author. This is her memoir, sort of. Maybe it wasn’t the best thing to start with but it has some very intriguing ideas. A Lively World I enjoy being in her world, her mind and she takes you there with ease. She lives in an animate world where she has relationships with animals, rocks and “Star Beings”. The Star Beings sound fascinating, but these aliens are actually controlling, angry entities that she either knows or imagines. Either way, they have a hold on her life for a time. This part of the book is thankfully small, confusing and just plain strange. It … Read entire article »
